With the Lac Léman collection, Emile Chouriet expresses the beauty of its native city of Geneva and the surrounding majestic Leman Lake, which has long inspired the artists, artisans and watchmakers of the region for centuries. Building on the rich legacy of Geneva watchmaking rather than simply recreating the past, the latest addition to the line, the Lac Léman Date in 18k rose gold is at once timelessly elegant yet refreshingly modern.

Crafted in a gleaming 18k rose gold case measuring 40mm wide with perfectly wearable proportions, the flair of the Lac Léman Date is accentuated by Emile Chouriet’s signature flared wing-shaped lugs. The textured bezel emphasizes the contemporary-chic character of the watch, with a fluted coin-edge pattern that plays with light in enchanting ways.

Time is not simply measured, but harmoniously captured in motion in the Lac Léman Date. Above the white dial, slender and curvy willow shaped hands circle to display the hours, minutes and seconds. Applied flat, polished golden baton markers mark each hour, recalling the tone of the solid rose gold case. A rectangular golden window, harmoniously balancing the applied Roman numeral hour marker at 12 o’clock, frames the white date window.

The final touch of elegance on this modern classic is the strap, fashioned in black veal leather and fixed to a comfortable and ergonomic 18K rose gold pin buckle.

The Lac Léman Date is powered by the self-winding EC9312 calibre, based on the “Top Grade” version of the ETA 2892 and providing a power reserve of 42 hours. Visible through the sapphire crystal display back, one can admire the custom Emile Chouriet oscillating rotor.

The Lac Léman Date reaffirms Emile Chouriet’s Geneva roots and audacity to give traditional Swiss watchmaking a more contemporary context, perfect for the modern gentleman with an eye for detail.
